My wife was laid off back in January of 2009 and until the last few months was she able to start finding some part-time work. While we’re excited to have her working again, and bringing in some extra money, it seems unlikely that she’ll land a job anytime soon making the same kind of money she once did. On the bright side, however, it has given my wife an opportunity to re-invent herself professionally and really take a close look at what makes her happy.
